(15 Scholarships Total Awarded)
Category 1 – Member Scholarship (up to $1000 Scholarship Awards) Eligibility
- Open to George Washington Chapter members (Enlisted, Officer &
Civilian) pursuing an undergraduate or advanced degree
- 2.5 GPA (4.0 scale) or “C+” average in high school
- Favorable recommendation from your supervisor
Applications (Letter from applicant/Official Transcripts/2 Letters of Recommendation)
- Name, address, phone number, email address
- Member Number of the George Washington Chapter of AUSA
- Explanation of why you are deserving of recognition/scholarship
- Special family considerations or other circumstances that you believe are relevant
- (Note: this is important--all information above must be included in the applicant’s letter)
- Official transcript from all schools attended
- Letter of recommendation from teacher or counselor
- Letter of recommendation from supervisor
- Proof of membership in George Washington Chapter (i.e. photocopy of membership card)
Category 2 – Family Member Scholarship (up to $1000 Scholarship Awards) Eligibility
- High school senior, high school or college graduate, or current college student, full or part time
- 2.5 GPA (4.0 scale) or “C+” average in high school
- Child or spouse of George Washington Chapter AUSA Member pursuing an undergraduate or advanced degree
Applications (Letter from applicant/Official Transcripts/1 Letter of Recommendation)
- Name, address, phone number, email address
- Sponsor’s name, address, telephone number, email address, and member number of the George Washington Chapter AUSA
- Explanation of why you are deserving of recognition/scholarship
- Special family considerations or other circumstances that you believe are relevant
- (Note: this is important--all information above must be included in the applicant’s letter)
- Official transcript from all schools attended
- Letter of recommendation from teacher or counselor
- Proof of sponsor’s membership in George Washington Chapter (i.e. photocopy of membership card)
